I’m Lyndsey.

 

I'm the founder and editor-in-chief of Southerly, an independent media organization about ecology, justice, and culture in the American South.

 

Born and raised in Kentucky and now based in Durham, North Carolina, I am a reporter and editor who has covered climate change, energy, environmental justice all over the U.S. My work has appeared in Harper's, Vice, The Daily Beast, CityLab, Undark, High Country News, Columbia Journalism Review, FiveThirtyEight, The Washington Post, Hakai, The Atlantic, Grist, Outside, and InsideClimate News. I earned my master's degree from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
